York/Adams Mental Health-Intellectual & Developmental Disabilities (MH-IDD) Program
MH-IDD is located in York City and server both York and Adams Counties. This program offers a variety of supports, including case management and service coordination.
TrueNorth Wellness Services, Emergency Crisis Support Services Crisis services are free, mobile and available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, on-site, in the community or in-home to anyone in Adams, Fulton and York counties.
Wellspan Crisis Intervention Services Offers 24-hour crisis counseling that individuals may access either through a toll-free telephone number or face-to-face interview. Crisis walk-in services are also available at 1101 S. Edgar St., Suite C, York, Pa. The hours of operation at this location are Monday to Thursday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Friday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. No appointments are necessary

Community Care Behavioral Health Organization is the Behavioral Health Managed Care Organization (BH-MCO) for both York and Adams County. They manage and pay for the behavioral health care needs of York and Adams residents eligible through Medical Assistance.
The Social Security Administration Offers benefits including but not limited to: Retirement, Disability, Medicare, Survivors, Supplement Security Income (SSI), and Ticket to Work.
York County Human Services Division is located in York City and it oversees the county’s human services departments including: Children & Youth Services, Drug & Alcohol, Mental Health/IDD, Area Agency on Aging, Veterans Affairs, Youth Development Center, and HealthChoices Management Unit.
Service Access & Management, Inc (SAM) offers: Joint Planning Team (York County only), Mental Health Intensive Case Management, Mental Health Resource Coordination, Mental Health Blended Case Management, and Certified Peer Specialist Services.
York County Assistance Office Offers services including but not limited to: Autism Services, Cash Assistance Programs such as Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Health Care/Medical Assistance (Medicaid), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), Heating Assistance/LIHEAP, and Homeless Assistance programs, and Waivers.
The York County Housing Authority of the City of York The Housing Authority owns and operates public housing units. Services include: Housing Choice Vouchers and Turnkey Lease/Purchase Programs.
Housing Alliance of York The Housing Alliance offers affordable housing opportunities for low income persons.
Adams County Food Pantries Provides food to those in emergency situations through food pantries located throughout Adams County.
York County Food Bank The York County Food Bank’s mission is to end hunger in York County by working with partner agencies to increase the quantity of—and dignified access to—high quality, nutritious food for everyone who needs it.
National Alliance on Mental Illness, York County NAMI of York offers a weekly connections group for people with a mental health diagnosis, monthly support groups, and Peer-to-Peer and Family-to-Family programs which are educational and experiential learning programs held over a course of 10-12 weeks.
Community Progress Council of York Working with low- to moderate-income people of all ages in York County to examine their current situations and determine how CPC’s programs best align with their needs. Programs include: case management, early childhood education, housing assistance, and nutrition & emergency services.
